Stop 9 of China RACC Expo Global Promotion

On 8 July 2023, the RACC committee departed from Beijing to Nigeria to kick off the 9th stop of global promotion for RACC - the 6th International Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Exhibition (Mega Clima Nigeria), which is organised by Elan Expo and will be held at the Landmark Centre, Lagos, from 11-13 July. It was held on 11-13 July at the Landmark Centre in Lagos. It is also one of the largest and most important HVACR exhibitions in West Africa and even in Africa, which is held once a year and is expected to reach 260 exhibiting brands this year.

In order to better promote RACC2023, the RACC committee set up a booth (Booth No.: A10) at the site for exhibitors and visitors to distribute brochures one by one and invite overseas visitors to come to Ningbo for purchasing, which widely expanding the influence of RACC2023 in the local Nigerian market, doing a good job of overseas publicity in all aspects, and harvesting more international buyers and exhibitors.

Mega Clima Nigeria 2022 attracted 140 brands from 19 countries and over 3,800 visitors from all over the world including: Algeria, Austria, Belgium, China, Germany, Ghana, India, Italy, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States of America and many more. The well-known companies include Pygar, Samsung, Artech2000, Daikin, LG, Era Group, Carrier, Termokon, Wilo Pumps, Profholod, Ksr Power, Linkcity Gas, etc.

Overview of trade between China and Nigeria

Nigeria is the largest economy in Africa, with a total population of 216 million, Nigeria offers a large number of trade opportunities for Chinese companies. In 2022, Nigeria's GDP was $477.3 billion, the GDP per capita was $2,237, and the GDP growth rate was 3.3 percent. Nigeria is China's top engineering contracting market in Africa, the second largest export market, and the third largest trade partner and investment destination. Nigeria is China's number one engineering contracting market, number two export market, number three trade partner and major investment destination country in Africa. In 2022, China-Nigeria bilateral trade volume is US$23.90 billion, of which our export volume is US$22.30 billion and import volume is US$1.60 billion. Customs data shows that from January to April this year, China's bilateral trade with Nigeria reached 52.41 billion yuan, a cumulative increase of 14.5 percent over the same period last year. Among them, China exported 47.83 billion yuan to Nigeria, up 15.6 percent year-on-year.
